Akira "Alex" Nakanishi

GM, Digital Strategy, Tokio Marine

After joining Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance (at that time), Mr.Akira “Alex” Nakanishi worked on various tasks including Marketing and UW. After serving as a Manager in Product Development and UW department, he was appointed as the Head of Tokio Marine Innovation Lab during his assignment in Silicon Valley. Upon his return to Japan, he led Digital-driven business development as General Manager of the Digital Innovation department, and currently, leading the Digital Strategy of Tokio Marine Group as General Manager of the Digital Strategy department of Tokio Marine Holdings. Mr.Nakanishi graduated from Kyoto University with a bachelor’s degree in Literature, and obtained an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

東京海上火災保険(当時)に入社後、マーケティングやアンダーライティング等多岐に亘る業務に従事。商品開発やアンダーライティング部門のマネージャーを歴任後、シリコンバレー駐在時はTokio Marine Innovation Labのチームヘッドを務めた。帰国後は、デジタルイノベーション部長としてデジタルドリブンの事業開発を牽引した後、現在は東京海上ホールディングスのデジタル戦略部長としてグループのデジタル戦略をリードする。京都大学文学部、スタンフォード大学経営大学院を卒業。
