Cleosent is the Founder & CEO of PasarPolis, Southeast Asia’s largest insurtech based in Indonesia. He founded PasarPolis in October 2015 by envisioning a more holistic and easily accessible insurance system to become the bridge for the uninsured towards insurance protection. He believes that it is achievable by making insurance experience easy, affordable and delightful for everyone through technology and innovation.
Cleosent graduated with Honors Bachelor of Business in 2010 from Simon Fraser University, Canada, majoring in Marketing and International Business, with an extended minor in Economics. His passion to make positive impacts at scale by liberating consumers from any worry through insurance, beyond the traditional ones - from life to lifestyle - to address consumers’ needs across multiple tech ecosystems has rewarded him Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of The Year for Technology & Digital in 2018. Under his leadership, PasarPolis
scored the first insurtech company jointly invested by three Indonesian unicorns Gojek, Tokopedia and Traveloka. Then in 2020 marked Southeast Asia’s largest Series B funding under insurtech category with Leapfrog, Xiaomi, SBI Investment, Intudo Ventures, Alpha WC Venture, GoVentures joining as investors; followed by welcoming International Finance Corporation (IFC) as strategic investor in 2021 who truly supports PasarPolis’ mission of democratizing insurance for all.
