Daniel Lukas is a seasoned insurance executive with over a decade of experience in the industry across Europe and Asia. As Chief Underwriting Officer, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role, overseeing the underwriting operations of the world’s largest P&C insurer.

He began his career in Personal Lines Corporate Analysis and has worked across all lines within general insurance with major insurers and consultancies. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in underwriting, actuarial and risk management. Daniel combines a deep understanding of the complex underwriting processes and cutting-edge analytics to drive growth into profitable insurance portfolios.

Throughout his career, Daniel has been recognized for his strategic vision and his ability to develop and implement innovative underwriting strategies. He has a passion for data analytics and uses data-driven insights to identify new business opportunities and optimize underwriting performance.

He holds a Masters’ degree in Statistics from The University of Reading and has completed all the IFOA Core Technical actuarial exams. He is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, and is actively involved with several industry events and organizations.
