Junior Cho was appointed Country Head for Zurich Malaysia effective 14 July 2021, succeeding Stephen Clark who recently retired. In this country leadership role, Junior will oversee Zurich’s businesses in Malaysia, ensuring strategies and foundations are in place to enhance the customer journey and drive sustainable growth.

Junior also continues to lead the Property & Casualty (P&C) business in Malaysia as CEO of the segment, a position he assumed on 15 July 2019 after having being with the company for three years. In this role, he is responsible for the development and enhancement of the propositions and distribution channels of Zurich’s general insurance business in Malaysia.

With more than 30 years of experience within the insurance and financial services sector under his belt, Junior was previously the Group CEO of Tune Protect Group and was responsible for overseeing general insurance businesses in Malaysia, Thailand and the Middle East.

He also held previous senior management roles which include Regional Operations and Technology Officer at Metlife International, Director of Market Management and Strategy at Allianz Life Korea as well as Chief Marketing Officer at Cigna Korea.

Junior joined Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad (ZGIMB) in September 2016, and reports to David Fike, CEO of ZGIMB.
