Theresa is the Founder and Director of Accelerating Insurance, an innovation advisory and consulting firm operating across Southeast Asia. She is also behind the Asia InsurTech Podcast and InsurTech Mentors, a unique ecosystem of entrepreneurs, thought leaders and industry experts. Prior to her current roles, Theresa worked for the German management consultancy Detecon as Asian Insurance Lead and spent 10 years with multinational insurer Generali both in Europe and Asia. Theresa is a specialist in insurance industry innovation and disruption of industries. She is a regular speaker at conferences including Asia Insurance Review, Techsauce, Uniglobal and InsurTech Insight as well as a speaker and visiting lecturer at universities and business schools including the Singapore College of Insurance, Thammasat University, Bangkok School of Management and the Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University (STeP). Theresa is an industry innovator and at the leading edge of big data and analytics within insurance. She is responsible for some of the first academic research into the adoption of big data into the Southeast Asian insurance industry, and she continues to work to assist clients to connect with the marketplace and identify the potential of big data.
