As Senior Vice President in the Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims department, Andrew Taylor is responsible for the development and profitable growth of the insurer’s Financial Lines portfolio, including Cyber Insurance across the region. 

Taylor is well recognised as a thought leader in the Asia Pacific Cyber Insurance segment, having launched cyber insurance in the region in 2009. With over 20 years of international experience in the general insurance industry, he is a veteran with a proven track record when it comes to providing customer-focused solutions.

Taylor joined MSIG in 2022 as the Head of Financial Lines in MSIG Singapore and MSIG Hong Kong. After having successfully built the general insurer’s Financial Lines capabilities in the two markets, he moved to the MSIG Asia office in 2023, with his role expanded to support complex risks and reinsurance treaties for Financial Lines across the region.

Taylor believes greatly in teamwork and is known for his passion in imparting his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of local underwriters.

Beyond his responsibilities in MSIG, Taylor actively contributes to the broader insurance industry. He is a member of the General Insurance Association of Singapore, Insurance Council of Australia, and the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute.
