Dr. Salvilla is Group Chief Health Officer, FWD Group, and leads the company’s business unit that provides comprehensive accident and health insurance.

Since assuming this role in 2024, Dr. Salvilla is focused on driving innovative partnerships with healthcare providers and industry leaders to deliver customer-led outcomes, utilising the latest developments in health technology and research. Dr. Salvilla first joined FWD Group in March 2021 to lead its Group Customer & Operations team, based in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining FWD, Dr. Salvilla worked at Bupa in senior healthcare management roles spanning international markets from 2011 to 2021, based in London and Hong Kong.

Dr. Salvilla graduated as a doctor from Imperial College, London and began her career as a clinician and surgeon in the United Kingdom’s National Health Service. She later joined the World Health Organization as a consultant for its safer primary care​ initiative.

Dr. Salvilla has also held various board positions including Non-Executive Director at the Academic Health Science Network in the United Kingdom from 2020 to 2023, Board Director at BEI in Egypt from 2018 to 2021, and a member of the Board of Fellows of the Map of Medicine in the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2015.

Additionally, Dr. Salvilla served as an External Editor for the McGill Journal of Medicine from 2006 to 2007.
