Hidemi Takano is currently the Vice President, APAC Program Lead at Solaria Labs, a Liberty Mutual innovation lab that develops new product concepts in the insurance domain by uncovering unmet customer needs. As the APAC Program Lead, Hidemi Takano is responsible for leading a product team to launch a portfolio of new insurance

products/solutions across Liberty Mutual's Asia operations. She also develops the lab's product roadmap to support the business's goals and strategy, reflecting market trends and customer needs.

In her previous role at Solaria Labs, Hidemi Takano led a global team in conducting a market opportunity assessment for a new mode of motor insurance and developed a business case to launch a pilot. She successfully launched the pilot in the market. Hidemi also drove a 25% sales increase in a term-life insurance product by implementing a growth strategy for a new digital-direct product and successfully transferred the ownership of this product to the parent company. In addition, she led the project management of technology development for revamping a product that generated US$1M in revenue after just three months in the market.
