Dr. Hirokazu Anai has been with Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd since 1991 and currently is a Principal Research Director of FUJITSU RESEARCH. He has been working on Mathematical technologies and artificial intelligence research and development. He was a head of Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Fujitsu Research (2021-2023) now leads social implementations of AI technologies.

He was also a guest researcher at Fakultat fur Informatik und Mathematik, Universitat Passau, Germany in 1999-2000. He was a leader of CREST project, ``Construction of a platform for robust optimization based on symbolic-numeric hybrid computation" of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) in 2003-2009. Now he serves research area advisors of several JST projects (CREST, Act-X) on AI and math. He was also a professor of Graduate School of Mathematics since 2008-2012 and has been a visiting professor of Institute of Mathematics for Industry of Kyushu University since 2012.
