James Tait is the global CEO of UnderwriteMe, an InsurTech founded in 2012 in the UK with a mission to make insurance more accessible for as many people in as many countries around the world as possible. James is an actuary by training, having worked in both the insurance and reinsurance market before joining UnderwriteMe as an NED when the company was set-up, and taking over as CEO in early 2020.

UnderwriteMe aims to pursue its mission in selected markets by creating marketplaces for life insurance where advisers and brokers can go from the start of the new business process through to buying a policy without leaving its website, comparing price, product and underwriting across multiple insurers in the process. Alongside that marketplace is the UnderwriteMe Decision Platform, which the company already offers to insurers in 12 countries around the world to help them drive quicker, more automated and more economic underwriting processes using a combination of rules, third-party data and AI models.
