Shinichi KISHI is General Manager at Meiji Yasuda and is responsible for managing and developing the corporate strategy on SDGs/ESG. He also serves as a member of Sustainability Standards Advisory Council Japan.

Qualified as a U.S. Certified Public Accountant, Shinichi contributed his knowledge and experience to developing the IFRS for insurance contracts. He also worked within the secretariat of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) from 2006 to 2009.

In 2021 he assumed his current responsibilities on sustainability management & development. He led Meiji Yasuda's A List designation in CDP's Climate Change Assessment in 2023 and 2024. He made presentations on relevant issues at many occasions including IAIS Annual Conference 2023 as well as IFRS Integrated Thinking & Reporting Conference 2024.

1990年京都大学理学部卒、明治生命（現 明治安田生命保険）入社。米国ワシントン州公認会計士、国際大学MBA。2006年から09年まで保険監督者国際機構の事務局（在バーゼル）に出向。2021年から明治安田生命のサステイナビリティ経営の推進に取り組み、2023年および2024年にCDPの「Aリスト」企業に認定。社外での活動として、2022年よりサステナビリティ基準諮問会議委員を務め、また国際会議での講演や国際保険専門誌への寄稿等も実施
