Karlis Trops is Cyber Leader based in Singapore. He joined AIG in 2020 and is responsible for the implementation and execution of AIG's Cyber strategy in Asia. In addition, he leads the development of Cyber insurance propositions for new and existing customers and provides technical expertise for Technology Professional Indemnity underwriting.

Karlis started his insurance career in 2010 with Chubb in the USA before relocating to the London. Prior to joining AIG, he was Senior Technology Underwriter focused on developing tailored insurance solutions for technology companies.

A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia with Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Commerce, Karlis completed the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation programme in 2013 and Certified information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification in 2022.
