Ryo is the COO of Plug and Play Japan. After working in new business development consulting at Deloitte's Silicon Valley office, he joined the founding team that launched Plug and Play's Japan operations, part of a global venture capital and accelerator platform. He currently oversees operations, leads venture investments in startups both in Japan and abroad, and drives open innovation initiatives by supporting major corporations, startups, and government partners. In 2025, he worked with his team to establish Plug and Play's first regional fund to further strengthen startup investments and global expansion support. He holds an MBA from Columbia University.
