Somasundaram Ramakrishnan (Soma) is an accomplished insurance professional with over 30 years of experience in the insurance and technology industry. His journey reflects a blend of expertise in operations, technology adoption and strategic leadership.
Soma’s extensive industry experience stems from working in insurance companies, where he has applied technology, people and process efficiency contributing significantly to new business, policy servicing, and claims administration. Over the past two decades, Soma with leading IT software companies, conceptualizing, building, and deploying key insurance solutions across the Asean, Greater China, Japan, ANZ and MEA markets. His career path includes significant roles at CSC and HP, now DXC Technology, where he now is the Regional Head of Insurance Software solutions and where he has made a lasting impact.
Soma’s influence extends beyond day-to-day operations. He has been at the forefront of DXC’s transformational strategy, notably shaping the SaaS product - DXC Assure for insurers across the region. His advocacy for the adoption of cloud strategies, process automation, AI has been pivotal for digital transformation in the insurance sector.
Passionate about innovation, Soma remains committed to driving positive change in the industry. He holds a science degree in Physics and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (LOMA), USA and the Insurance Institute of India.
